Description

Clavius, one of the most famous walled lunar plains (225 km).

The smallest craters punctuating its arena are ideal for amateur telescopes to control the separator power.

One can note the interesting arc arrangement of the craters inside Clavius which are cut in descending order of size.

Against Clavius and to its right, the Crater Blancanus (105 km) is plunged into lunar darkness.
